Managing Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ) is the ability to understand, use and manage our own emotions in a positive manner to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflicts. Emotional intelligence helps us to build stronger relationships, succeed at work and achieve our professional and personal goals. It can also help us to connect with our feelings, turn intention into action and make informed decisions about what matters most to us.
Having a Focus on the same we at .Kreate recently organized a workshop on ‘Managing Emotional Intelligence’ for our Leadership team. The one day long classroom session highlighted the concepts of:

We at .Kreate are always on a lookout for the opportunity to develop our employees to support them achieve their career goals. On the same pursuit a one day long classroom session was organized on Communicating for Leadership Success for our Mid Management Team
The workshop focused on needs of communication, personal & practical and the principles which govern both the needs. The key principles to meet these needs were also shared.
The sessions also highlighted about Interaction Essentials which are powerful skills for having meaningful and productive conversations with others, no matter how different they are from you. These skills include both the personal and practical needs that a leader will have in an interaction.
Above all, these skills create a positive environment for people to communicate. Using them consistently is sure to improve workplace culture. The Interaction Essentials are even proven to positively impact the bottom line.

On the Leadership development journey for middle managers at .Kreate, the next milestone was a workshop on “Coaching – Moving People Forward”.
The transition from an employee to a leader can be a tough task to accomplish. While moving up the ladder in the organization, it is essential that you have the apt skills to become a leader. Coaching is one such skill.
The program was organized to serve two purposes; firstly, to offer employees a clear pathway for taking up managerial roles and secondly, to help existing leaders to hone their skills.

Our mid management leadership development session was designed on the same lines, and was conducted on the topic “Creating an Inclusive Environment”.
The one day long classroom session was focused on;
- Recognizing biases & stereotypes that can affect workplace decisions.
- Identifying those who have been excluded and invite them to the table.
- Engaging everyone and encourage their voices and contributions
- Advocating for those with different perspectives and ignite their personal success.

In line with the same, we organized a training session on ‘Customer Focus & Business Intelligence' for our ‘Mid management team’. We were pleased to see the enthusiastic participations. The session was really engaging and helped participants to understand the importance of customer focus.
The objective of the session was “to enable participants learn to develop customer focus and its importance in today’s business scenario. It also focused on building relationship & trust with customers, the pitfalls of decision making and process of making high quality decisions.”

In line with the same, we organized a training session on ‘Driving Change' for our ‘Mid management team’. We were pleased to see the enthusiastic participations. The session was really engaging and helped participants to understand the concepts of Change Management.
The focus of the session was to enable Managers to develop themselves as beacon of change and embrace the challenges which follows. They were also shared the tips, tools and techniques to support their team members and encourage them to commit to change initiatives more quickly. This will turn resistance into commitment and inspire team members to take ownership of the change .

In the series of Leadership development workshops our next session was focused on building and sustaining trust & engaging and retaining talent. Trust is the glue which binds the leader to her/his followers and provides the capacity for organizational and leadership success. The foundation of a great workplace is created by organizational credibility, respect and fairness which form the foundation of trust.
In line with the same, we organized a training session on ‘Energizing the Organization' for our senior leadership team. We are very pleased to see the enthusiastic participation of our leadership team. The session was highly engaging and helped participants to understand the power of energized organization
The one day long session focused on recognizing how trust in the workplace affects business results, Analyzing the leaders role in building and sustaining trust, demonstrating behaviors that show you trust others as well as give people the confidence to trust you. The session also enabled participants to inspire higher levels of engagement by acknowledging the value people bring to the organization and showing them that you care, also how to increase the quality of your conversations with people about their engagement and intent to stay.
